Delivery & Returns

• All parcels weighing under 1kg will be sent by Royal Mail Recorded (Signed For) delivery.
• Parcels over 1kg will be sent by the most cost effective method based on the amount of postage charged.
• If you attend one of our local crops (or a crop that ScrapShed attends), you may request "Crop Collection" instead of paying postage on your order. Please ensure you enter the crop location and date in the comments box if you want to use this option
• We also offer Free Local Delivery. If you live within a 5 mile radius of Woodford Green (IG8), we can delivery your order free of charge. Time of delivery cannot be requested, specified or guaranteed, but will generally be after 5pm. Only one free delivery attempt will be made. If your order cannot be delivered at that time, we will contact you by phone or email to arrange another delivery service.
• You may also request to collect your order. Please specify the day you would like to collect your order in the comments box when ordering - this must be at least 48 hours in advance, e.g. an order placed on Monday evening can be collected from Thursday morning onwards. All orders for collection must be paid for during checkout. We recommend you call us before setting out, to ensure we are available when you arrive.
• Orders with a value of £100 or over are sent postage free!

• All parcels will be shipped by Royal Mail Airmail Service (5-10 day delivery time).

Processing and Packing

• All 12x12 paper products will be delivered in pizza type boxes or boarded envelopes so that paper arrives flat and not crumpled.

• We keep a record of all postage receipts to allow us to track and verify all deliveries.

• Orders will be dispatched on receipt of payment.

• We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal and cheque payments.

• Once your payment is received, our commitment is for a 24-72 hour turnaround (not including weekends) of receiving, packaging and posting your order.

• In the majority of cases, orders are despatched within 48 hours of the order being entered into our system, however during busy periods, espescially during sale times, this can increase to 10 days.

• If for some reason we are unable to post your order within this time frame, you will be notified by email as soon as possible.

Every package leaves ScrapShed in excellent condition. If your goods are damaged in transit we will need to make a claim to Royal Mail for reimbursement. Royal Mail require evidence of the damaged packing material, as well as the damaged goods, as proof of the damage caused on route. Therefore, we recommend you obtain photographic evidence of the damaged packaging before opening the parcel if it appears to be compromised. If this happens, please advise us so we can forward our proof of posting and your order details to Royal Mail for processing.

People often ask us, Why dont you do free postage?... Well, thats because we take pride in how we send out your orders, as you will see when you receive it! Every order is packed securely in a pizza style boxes, or padded envelopes, and is sent by a tracked delivery service for extra security.

With our highly competitive pricing, we have to go at least some way to covering the cost of the packaging we use and the recorded delivery cost. 80% of the time, it costs us more to send your item than we charged you. So, in order to keep our prices competitive (and better value for you!)... we have to charge nominal P&P costs

Missing Parcels
Please keep in mind that once a package has been posted, any claims for lost or damaged packages must be made directly to Royal Mail. We keep all Recorded Delivery receipts (and Certificates of Posting) on file should they be required for this purpose.

Claims to Royal Mail for Signed For (Recorded) and Standard Parcels cover up to £32.00 only. Therefore ScrapShed can only refund a maximum of £32.00 in the event of packages lost by Royal Mail. This refund will be processed once we have received compensation from Royal Mail themselves for the lost item. If you require us to send your package by insured delivery with a higher value, please contact us and we will let you know the extra cost. Your parcel will be despatched once you have paid any excess postage.

RETURNS POLICY
We take great care to ensure that you will be delighted with your order. However, according to the Distance Selling Regulations, should any item be unsuitable, we will be happy to exchange or refund within 7 working days of receipt (date delivery was accepted via Royal Mail tracking). Please contact us in writing (by email or letter) to inform us of your intention to return the goods and to be issued with a Returns Authorisation Number. Items will then need to be returned at your expense in unused or "as new" condition.

In the rare event of goods being faulty, these must be returned within 14 days of receiving your order (date delivery was accepted via Royal Mail tracking). Please contact us (by email or letter) for a Returns Authorisation Number. The cost of returning the faulty item will be refunded.

All goods must be returned by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (or other tracked service) to ensure signed receipt. Please note this does not affect your statutory rights.
